I' setting up an offline parrallel domain to test my
proposed upgrade to Exchange 2003 from 5.5. We have a 2K
forest in native mode.

I want to establish a domain controller that is a clone of
the online domain.

Any one know of a KBA or other documentation of the
process ?

The easiest option is to backup the existing environment and restore it to
the test environment.

That is what I've done. There isn't an article which
describes the steps to take and in what order that I've
been able to find. I've picked pieces that seem to fit
from many KBAs:

263532
237566
316790
315457
255504
230306

Having a parallel offline domain in a lab is referenced
many times in these and other articles. Is there a process
documented to accomplish the setup ?
