We have been asked if I can implement a Front-End SMPT Relay server, but
don't know where to start. Currently we have a Front-End OWA server on a DMZ
and a the Exchange 2003 Server in the internal network. Can someone guide me
to gettting this completed?

Thanks,

Vic

Yes, have a look at routing groups.

There are several options here, all documented on microsoft.com.
The best (and recommended) is to use ISA 2004 as your SMTP/RPC over HTTP/OWA
firewall/relay box, and have that on your DMZ. Then you can move your
exchange FE server internal (closing all those ports!) and you've got your
SMTP relay AND much better security to boot.
