Move Transaction logs to another partition on a SAN

Hello everybody.

I would to know if there's something that I need to know to accomplish this
task.

Here's the background info

We have an Exchange 2003 Cluster, this weekend we are going to migrate
exchange from one SAN to Another, we have done this in the past with
ClusterRecovery, But in this case with also have 2 partitions which holds the
transaction logs, one per storage (actually we have to storage), also one of
those partitions have some SMTP protocol Queue , Badfile and Pickup but as we
also have an exclusive SMTP server we don't need this partition.

So in essence we would like to redirect the smtp stuff and unified the
transaction logs in one partition.

As I said before this is a cluster so that's why we ask.

Best regards

Not really seeing an issue here. Present the new LUNs to the servers.
Configure the same dependencies. Execute the moves like you did the
first time. Tlogs & Stores by simple GUI process and follow the KB to
move the SMTP.

Of course, the wider question is the SAN. Why aren't the SAN boys
doing the migrations for you? Have you bought some bit of tin that
won't migrate LUN to LUN at the back end without extended downtime
whilst you do major surgery on the server?

First thank you for the reply overall so fast.
Wasn't really an issue if not that we don't have experience doing this in a
cluster, so I ask for it.

The SAN boy is my boss, so we will work together in this one.
Yes we know about the Downtime.

My Friend best regards.
