Hello,

I'm looking for utilities, libraries, pieces of code etc which can unveil
internal structure or/and show data stored in dismounted EDB files or
transaction log files for exchange 2000/2003. Some of the examples are
OnTrack and Quest. Anything else ?

Thanks in advance,
Andrey

I am just curious as to why you would want to do this? This data will not be
very useful to you as its all stored in blobs and linked to certain database
tables and pages. Unless you are familiar with Jet architecture I wouldn't
waste the time.

Well,

>I am just curious as to why you would want to do this?
First answer - because I'm curious :-)

And then, if you look at the current offerings with Backup-as-snapshot
solutions, you probably find the question (and tools in question) useful.

I very often see myself in a situation when I have either edb file I have to
extract some messages from or/and a transaction log file(files) which are
being created with incredible speed and I need to understand what's going
on.

Thanks,
Andrey

I would look more towards the Microsoft Troubleshooters for the answer to
these problems.
