RPC-HTTP on without front-back servers

Scenario:

2003 SP1 : 2 DC's that are both GC's

Ex 2003 SP2 on a separate box.

I need to setup RPC over HTTP, but can't find a document that deals with
this sepcific scenario.

Lots of support out there for front-end back-end servers etc.

I even found support for setting it up on a single server that is an
Exchange server as well as the being the DC & GC.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have an SSL certificate already working on the Exchange server. I have
installed RPC-HTTP, and made the registery settings for ports 6002 & 6004 as
per documentation.

Does changing the registry negate the need to use the RPC-HTTP tab? Should I
have done the RPC-HTTP tab and NOT the registry?

The RPC-HTTP tab on the exchange server doesn't have front end enabled. IF I
try to set it up as back end, I get an error saying I have to have a
front-end before I can have a back-end, which makes sense.

When I run OUtlook.exe /rpcdiag all I get is TCP/IP connections, no RPC at
all.

What needs to be done on the Domain controllers? Anything?

I'm obviously missing a step here, but I don't know where.

I'm lost.

Thanks!

You forgot Port 6001 in your Registry Setting.  I have a client with the
same setup and verified on the Exchange 2003 Server and its set to this.

OK, I got that working.

But it only works with my 2003 domain credentials, not my kerberos realm
credentials.

Mykrb5 crednetials work if I use them on OWA, just not anywhere else.

I have to have single sign on, so I need to get the kerberos working. I
speicified the default realm in the outlook account options. Is there
anything else I'm missing?

Thanks John!

Forgot to include the fact that I can logon to the 2k3 domain with my Kerb
credentials.

Kerb is working everywhere EXCEPT connecting over the lan to Exchange, the
web even works, just not the lan.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
