I'm having a problem with message tracking for Exchange 2003. When I try to
use the Message Tracking located in System Manager/Tools/Message Tracking
Center I get this message "The search could not be completed. Check to see
that the Microsoft Exchange Management Service is running on all Exchange
2000/2003 Installatioins. I checked the service it's running. I restarted
the service to make sure but I still can not track messages. There is no
information on this. Does anyone have any ideas?

I would suggest checking the NTFS permissions on the folder that you
are saving the logs to. I'm not sure which accounts need access
(administrator's account or an Exchange service account), but I'd
guess it was the account that the MS Exchange Management service was
configured to run as.

There's not much on the Web about this error. I can only suggest
getting a copy of Filemon from www.sysinternals.com , and see if any
file access errors are logged when you try to track your messages.
