WebDAV - Undeliverable emails

Hi,

I use WebDAV to retrieve emails from Exchange.
I use PROPFIND method and string

"<?xml version='1.0'?><a:propfind xmlns:a='DAV:'
xmlns:m='urn:schemas:httpmail:'><a:prop><m:subject/><m:date/><m:from/><m:to/><m:htmldescription/><m:hasattachment/></a:prop></a:propfind>"

to get an email's properties.

It works fine except when it is an Undeliverable email from Exchange. The
stream return other properties ok but:

<a:propstat><a:status>HTTP/1.1 404 Resource Not
Found</a:status><a:prop><d:htmldescription/></a:prop></a:propstat>

i.e., can't get message body (htmldescription)

Did I do anything wrong with WebDAV or Exchange configuration has problem?
Anybody can help me with this?

Thanks in advance.

Li

Maybe not all the messages have an htmldescription .  Try looking for
textdescription , too, and use that if the html is empty.

Lee.

I tried textdescription too. It is the same (Not Found). Actually I tried
retrieving
all properties and couldn't find a property that hold the Undeliverable
email body.

Thanks.

If the DAV:content-class is urn:content-classes:dsn , then you will
probably find that the original message has been added as an
attachment, and that the text is in there.

Hi, Lee:

I am sorry maybe I didn't make my problem clear.
I can get my original email (indeed it's as an attachment). My problem is I
couldn't get System's message. i.e., I couldn't find the following:

"Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
     Subject:    11:46. 1/26/06.
     Sent:    1/26/2006 11:47 AM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
     aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa@puc.state.oh.us on 1/26/2006 11:47 AM
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this
message was sent to.  Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient
directly to find out the correct address.
           <MAILSRV.PUC.STATE.OH.US #5.1.1>    "

Look like it's a Nondelivery Report. But how can I get it using WebDAV
message property access or using any other methods?
It should be in somewhere since Outlook can get it.

Thanks.

Oh, right.  I don't think there is any actual text in these things.
If you were accessing it using MAPI, you'd get the recipient table,
and get the status of each one, and the report text associated with
each recipient.  I think the client creates the message using this
information.  I don't know how you get any of this using WebDAV,
though.  I can't find an example anywhere of anyone that's done it.
Do a Google Groups search for report.ipm.note.ndr , and you'll find
that you're not the first person to try this.  Unfortunately, there
are no good answers.

Thanks anyway!
