Probably some sort of database, yes, but exactly what that database is is
internal to Exchange, and you have to use Exchange/normal directory APIs
to access it. It's not going to be just a .mdb file that you can copy
somewhere else and look at, if what's what you're after.

Hello,
the Global Address Book is not stored directly. The Active Directory
contains the information, and each user and group object contains an
attribute listing the address books it is displayed in. See
