I currently have 3 users setup on a blackberry server syncing with
Outlook.  It is fully functional except for the fact that when I add
items to the calendar on the phone they do not sync with their
outlook.  If I add items to outlook it propagates down to the phone
correctly.  I assume this has to do with some rights issues, but I
have checked the documentation several times and everything looks
correct.  Any insight would be helpful.

Hello,

Have you used Blackberry Desktop client for intial syncronization of Hand
Held Device or have you sync wirelessly?

Thanks

I suggest you contact Blackberry support for help with their product(s).

I've seen this with BES.
On one of the BB's in question, open the calendar app, then options.
Look to see if Wireless Sync is set to ON. Sometimes its off.

I am also having the same problem.  The BB is setup for wireless correctly,
as emails are being received and sent and the BB also receives calendar
information from Outlook.

Everything functions normally except for updating of the Outlook calendar
from the BB.

I have also confirmed that modifying the calendar event from the BB once it
receives it from Outlook does not update back to Outlook.

It appears as though this is being caused by our BES server and we just
upgraded to version 4.1.6.9.

Please verify you dont have a DLL mismatch.
On your Exchange and BES server, look at the CDO.DLL files on both servers
and verify they are the same version.
They should be here: C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\bin
right click on the file, properties, version.

I have just found my resolution from another thread.

It appears as though if your Services are starting up with a logon in the
Domain Admins this will prevent the BlackBerry device from updating Outlook.

I think that when I did the upgrade to the newer version, it reset the
account logons for me.  Once I corrected the logon account, everything worked
fine.

Services Account Logon can not belong to the Domain Admins group.

Meaning, BESAdmin? That's correct. Note that the account is not created
automatically during setup- you have to set it up yourself according to
Blackberry's (gawd-awful) documentation.

Yes.  BESAdmin.  However during the upgrade, a couple of service switched
over to Administrator logon.

Very weird! I'll keep an eye out for that one.
