Hi

Is it possible to sync iPhone with exchange like windows devices can? If not
what is the best I can get? Are there any instructions on this?

Many Thanks

Here is my iPhone macro:

First read this:
http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/07/10/446015.aspx
Email only. No calendar, contacts, notes, etc. Just email.

Next you need to configure IMAP on Exchange and open up the ports in
Exchange. I would suggest IMAP over SSL for security.
Here is a nice link:

Finally configure the iPhone.

But, if you wait a few weeks for iPhone 2.0, you get the full blown
ActiveSync

I like that macro. I ignore these posts because I can't be bothered to
type that lot out when the question gets asked, and asked, and asked,
and asked, day in, day out. Day in, day out. Week in, week out.

Unlike the rest of the questions... :)

John,

I am an Exchange admin and we have some users that are currently using
the iPhone with our Exchange server (IMAP of course).  They were
wondering if it is possible to install the ActiveSync software on the
older iPhones at some time.  Do you happen to know if there are any
plans for that?

Thanks in advance,
Javier

According to this, the software will be available for the iPhone 1.0 as
well.
