Hello:

We have a Public Folder for our developers which is e-mail enabled for
errors.  We get over three thousand e-mails in the folder a day.  Twice now
the folder was not cleared and ended up with over 1,000,000 messages in it!
Outlook clients locked up when they tried to view the folder.  Finally I had
to delete it and re-create it.  Does anyone know if you can create a rule or
something which will automatically delete e-mails over 4 days old so this
problem will not happen again?  I thought I could do it with the folder
assistant, but I don't think it will work.  Thanks.

I believe the folder assistant is the only way to go - or change this to a
mailbox instead of a PF, and set up a mailbox management recipient policy
(filtered to apply to this mailbox only) that automatically purges out mail
older thanX days.
