Hello all,

I am doing this in Exchange 2003 SP2 (mixed mode) FE is E2k3 (IMC, OWA, RGC
all on FE) 1 - E2k BE and 1 - E2k3 BE

I am trying to route email to a dis-separate Excahnge 5.5 Org. over a SMTP
connector internally. I have configured the SMTP connector to forward all
mail destined for old-pq.nl to a host name that the E2k3 FE server can
resolve in DNS. I have tested, via telnet session, that the

Ex5.5 server will accept mail for the old-pq.nl domain. However, I am
getting all messages destined for old-pq.nl bounced with the following:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: Test message

Sent: 1/30/2006 2:28 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

Lilian Louwers (PQEurope) on 1/30/2006 2:28 PM

The destination server for this recipient could not be found in Domain Name
Service (DNS). Please verify the email address and retry. If that fails,
contact your administrator.

<pqmail1.pqcorp.com #5.4.0>

Help....please, as I am at a loss here as to why I would be getting a DNS
failure on this...

Hi,

It appears that the SMTP connector have problems with the name resolving.

Use an IP address instead (remember to put this in [])

You did add the domain name on the address tab right?

Leif
