Hello

Anyone know of an automated way the set a different address list in the
address book as the default search location?

If you open the Outlook Address book you always get the Global Address List
as the default address list. I would like to change to a diffrent one for
all my users. I have found the key in the registry where the setting is
stored, but it is a binary value that I cannot edit.

Thanks

Morgan

What you might try to do is change the Address book manually, then go to
that registry key and check the binary value.  After you have the binary
value for each Address book you might be able to automate a solution.

To change the default address book manually:
In outlook,
   Tools > Address Book...
   Tools > Options...
The top pulldown menu "Show this address book first" has all of your
listed Address books.

Good Luck
