I have approx. 200 users accessing Outlook XP via Citrix. Outlook configured
to access Exchange 2000 server. Outlook XP has SP3 and latest Service Packs.
No changes have been made but recently user will randomly get an error
dialog when launching Outlook. Clicking OK launches Outlook and it appears to
be working ok. Anybody have any ideas how to diagnose this error?
"Error in registry for extension "History;X". The syntax or format of the
registry entry is incorrect. Check the registry setting and compare the
registry for this extension to other extensions in the registry. The
extension "History" is not loaded. This version of Outlook only supports
Microsoft Exchange 4.0 extensions. Change the version number in the registry,
or install Microsoft Exchange again."

Thank you

I found the following registry value on one of the Citrix servers.
Deleting it cleared the problem. If anybody has any idea what might have
created it I would appreciate any input.
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Extensions

"History"=hex:58,00,03,06,59,00,03,02,5a,00,53,01,5c,00,83,00,5d,00,83,00,5e,\
